That's it, we didn't want to believe it, but the 2nd wave is here and the lockdown is well and truly in place. It's tough for morale, for the economy too and especially for the local shops/institutes that have to close. Hard-working independents who often don't know the 35-hour week and who also provide a living, for the most part, for employees. We know them well, since they are also customers. And we are so sad for them.

So we're not going to bash the big guys, like mass retailers or Amazon. They too have to get by, they too create jobs, but still, all these rules lack balance, it's not fair, especially as the holidays approach. And let's not even talk about what we call essential businesses vs. non-essential businesses. Huge debate! As if taking care of yourself and preserving yourself through culture or a cocooning moment was totally irrelevant in this period when we need comfort so much.

Fortunately, with digital today, retailers have an alternative and pick-up and click and collect can become widespread. So how can we support our businesses?

- like, comment, share the content they publish on their Instagram or Facebook accounts to make them visible. Indeed, the more reactions there are around the publications, the more Facebook makes the posts visible to other people. It costs nothing for you, but it is a lot for them.

- when you can, order from them and pick up the products by appointment . Our Mademoiselle Provence products are all available online and we continue deliveries throughout France. However, we have several partner points of sale, so why not order from them?

Of course it is difficult to name them all, but we have a special thought for the concept stores Hemera Concept store in Lyon and Melle in Nantes (in Nantes, as its name suggests) which received our products just before the lockdown and who therefore have not yet had time to introduce the products to their customers.

Everyone can be united at their own level and we do what we can at our level. This COVID year is complicated but with a little more humanity, this period will soon be a bad memory.
